2025 Contest Categories:

  • Spookiest – Creepiest, scariest, or most haunted-house vibes.

  • Most Festive Fall – Embraces the cozy autumn spirit with pumpkins, mums, leaves, scarecrows, etc.

  • Best Theme / Most Creative – A standout display that tells a story or has a clever, original concept.

Registration   October 1 - October 18

(NEW: You can also register to JUST be on the map and not in the contest! These houses will not have a yard sign, but your address will be visible on our Halloween Map.)

Voting Community members are invited to cast their VOTE

from October 19 - October 31.

Each registered contest entry will receive an official Moorestown Halloween House Decorating Contest yard sign- so be on the look out for the contest participants!

Contest Winners The homes that receive the most votes in each category will secure a coveted spot in the Moorestown Halloween House Decorating Contest Hall of Fame, with photos of your masterpiece featured on this website.

 

The Golden Broomstick journey continues! —The home that receives the highest overall votes will be awarded the Golden Broomstick, to be proudly displayed at the winner's choosing until the next year's contest winner is announced.

Contest Rules

  1. Participation is free and entirely optional for all Moorestown residents.

  2. In the spirit of maintaining authenticity and celebrating our community's talents, participants should not outsource decorating to professional decorators. 

  3. Outdoor decorations, visible from the curb, will be most considered when voting. Participants will be encouraged to provide photo(s) of their decorated home for those voters wishing to vote from home
